THE CONTRIBUTION OF ROAD TRANSPORT NETWORK ON MARKETING AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS IN NIGERIA
Agricultural products therefore depend upon shipment for the creation and presentation of their values. Based on the above reasoning therefore the influence of road transportation is critically investigated in this study with particular reference to marketing of Agricultural products in Ebonyi Local Government Area. To achieve self-sufficiency food production is one of the highest priority areas facing of most the world people today. It also a problem that threatens to worsen rapidly in the year immediately ahead. In this study, chi-square were used to test hypothesis and sampling procedures were used. The study cover four major towns that engaged in Agricultural products. Comprising of IZZI, IKWO, ISHIEKE and EZAGBO. I hope government should put much concern in some of its policies based on transportation of agricultural products for efficient food supply in the economy.
